Kadamba Transport Corporation - Olectra K9 Ebus - Interiors

Interiors of Olectra C9 Ebus from the stable Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited.

These 12-meter long, air-conditioned electric buses are of monocoque chassis and have a seating capacity of 48 people and a driver with electronically controlled air suspension at the front and rear and disc brakes with ABS on the front and back to ensure a comfortable and safe ride for the passengers. These buses are equipped with CCTV cameras to ensure the commuters’ safety, emergency button, USB sockets for mobile charging, GPS tracking, etc. The lithium-ion battery installed in the bus enables it to travel up to 200-250 km on a single charge based on traffic conditions. The technologically advanced electric bus has a regenerative braking system that allows the bus to recover a significant part of the kinetic energy lost in braking.

Latest Addition to BMTC's greener bus fleet- "Astra - Fuelling into Future", JBM EcoLife 9m Bus. 

  • The JBM - NTPC Consortium had won the tender to operate buses under the GCC model for 10 Years.
  • BMTC has to pay the JBM - NTPC Consortium 51.67 rupees per kilometer with electricity for 180 assured kilometers daily.
  • Buses will function as feeder services, providing last-mile connectivity to the Bangalore Metro.
  • JBM EcoLife 9m Buses delivered to BMTC are of the Non-AC variant and have a seating capacity of 33+D.
  • Buses are equipped with six Lithium, Nickel Manganese Cobalt Oxide (NMC) Battery Packs. In a single charge, a bus can cover a maximum range of 120 kilometers.
