Powered by Kirloskar Cummins Rear engine & fully integral body structure designed by Neoplan, Germany & Assembled by Kirloskar, Pune.
The Coaches were really ahead of time with salient features like Full Air suspension system with auto leveler mechanism, Stretch back seats, rear roof mounted powerful AC system, individual reading lamps & Video system for entertainment of passengers.
Unique Coaches was one of the operator who operated Neoplan Kirloskar Buses on Mumbai – Goa route in early 1990’s. 
Tried to do rendering with MS Paint & Photoshop with limited available photos of Kirloskar Neoplan Bus.

    Check pics of those buses from 1980s :) These are rotting in Goa.

  4. I remember from my primary school days. One morning we were on break and i saw 7-8 of these buses zip by. These were it. Kirloskar Neoplan. They had round tail lights if I am not mistaken.

  5. Yes.. we used travel frequently with Unique Coaches in 90's. Buses were owned by Mr. Suhas Sakhalkar and their head office was near Shivaji park-Mumbai. Those buses had rear engine and its air suspension was even better than today's modern Volvo/Scania buses. Later they discontinued these Neoplan buses and bought 4 Ashok Leyland buses. Unique Coaches service was really good. I've couple of photos... will share later

Later buses with similar design were manufactured by Ashok Leyland as well. 1st model was Leopard which were run by Laxmi Travels and Quickway Travels on Mumbai Goa route and 2nd Model was Autorola which were run by Sai Tourism and Maharaja Travels on Mumbai-Pune & Mumbai-Kolhapur routes respectively

  8. This busses was coming to my town mapusa and finally it was parked near our farm next to highway 17 for some court litigation and died on spot and slow death. But it was the time travel on Damania airways, damaging seaways and this busses from bombay to goa ...
